Twiki Connect features brings social software to the workplace.

Twiki Connect enhances productivity by providing the base features of widely accepted social software tools that are recognized as being effective interpersonal communication tools. At the same time, Twiki Connect includes the enhancements appropriate for a corporate environment to connect employees and business associates.

Twiki Connect is included in the Twiki Enterprise Agility Platform at no additional cost. For organizations wishing to upgrade their open source Twiki user page, Twiki Connect can be added as a feature to any existing open source Twiki installation running release 4.2 or greater. There is no need to make any underlying changes to the existing open source server to add this enhancement. Also, because Twiki Connect is a Twiki Application, it can be extended within the organization to meet your specific enterprise social networking needs.

Twiki Connect replaces the default unstructured Twiki user home page. It includes the following tabs:

  • Info - personal contact information.
  • Wall - write a comment to the employee or update your status.
  • Skills - educational background and technical expertise.
  • Pubs - publications such as books, patents, articles, blogs.
  • Activities - Activities in web spaces and projects of interest.
  • Tags - a tag cloud of pages tagged by the individual
